The Heart of Our Mission
At the heart of our mission, you’ll find our Care Team® members. Interfaith CarePartners’ signature service program brings caring volunteers together with families in need of support. Every Care Team® consists of volunteers whose personal presence and practical assistance make life better for the weak and vulnerable, and for those who serve them.
How a Team Works
Through simple acts of kindness, team members enable care “partners” to retain their independence and self-esteem, and offer primary caregivers (typically close family members) respite from the demands of caring for a vulnerable loved one. Since 1985, Care Team® members have delivered over two million hours of volunteer service!
Who We Help
- Persons with Alzheimer’s disease or adementia and their caregivers, through our Alzheimer’s Care Team project®
- Persons with HIV/AIDS and their caregivers, through our AIDS Care Team® project
- Persons with physical impairments due to advancing age, chronic illness or trauma and their caregivers, through our Second Family Care Team® project
- Impaired or chronically ill children and their families, through our Kids’ Pals Care Team® project
